TANNER CRANE, JOANN LARGENT, DONNA RUHL, TYSON SEARLS, KEVIN SMITH, AND CHRISTY YOUNG

ED TONER with TANNER CRANE, JOANN LARGENT, DONNA RUHL, TYSON SEARLS, KEVIN SMITH, AND CHRISTY YOUNGIn recognition of your work working over the past few months moving Kronos from the existing hardware to a new Virtual Machine (VM)”. Security setup on the new machines included secure certificates and firewalls opened. Coordination with the HR Teams and the E1 teams followed to verify that data was being moved as expected, and to verify that employees could all do the necessary tasks on the new VM. Laurie Schlitt commented, “With everyone working together, Kronos is now working on the new VM for the employees in DHHS, Corrections, and other agencies. The cooperation between the different areas of the OCIO helped to make this effort a success.”

“Reason for Nomination” Information from the Website: Tanner Crane, Joann Largent, Donna Ruhl, Tyson Searls, Kevin Smith, and Christy Young have all been working over the past few months to get Kronos moved from the existing hardware to a new Virtual Machine (VM). The weekend of 11/30/2018 was when we moved production over to the new VM. They all worked very hard to get the security setup on the new machine, including secure certificates, and firewalls opened. The team tested to be sure everything would work as expected. They also coordinated with the HR Teams and the E1 team to verify that data was being moved as expected, and to verify that employees and managers could all do the necessary tasks on the new VM. With everyone working together, Kronos is now working on the new VM for the employees in DHHS, Corrections, and other agencies. The cooperation between the different areas of the OCIO helped to make this effort a success.

TANNER CRANE, SANDRA BOLEY, CAMERON CARLSON, AND MIKE OLSON

ED TONER with TANNER CRANE, SANDRA BOLEY, CAMERON CARLSON, AND MIKE OLSONIn recognition of great customer service to the Department of Revenue with implementing application systems changes due statute and interest rate changes on short notice. One particular system, SCT, involved changes into production and extensive testing. Laurie Schlitt, commented, “The excellent team at the OCIO all worked together to get the production issues ran, and put the required interest rate changes into production. All the deadlines were met, and the customer had the information they needed by the end of the day. This is a great example of what can be accomplished with teamwork.”

“Reason for Nomination” from the Website: The Department of Revenue had some statute changes increasing the interest rate in several of their systems. Many of these changes were provided on relatively short notice to the programmers at the OCIO. Some of the changes were needing to go in within days of when the OCIO was notified. In one particular system, SCT, there were some other changes that were also going into production. Although extensive testing was done by the users, some issues were found when it ran in production. The excellent team at the OCIO - including Mike Olson, Cameron Carlson, Tanner Crane, and Sandy Boley - all worked together to get the production issues ran, and put the required interest rate changes into production. All the deadlines were met, and the customer had the information they needed by the end of the day. This is a great example of what can be accomplished with teamwork.
