BOB HOWARD

For his assistance to the Capitol Commission with enhancing cellular coverage in the Capitol basement. Bob worked with the Commission on an antenna installation project. Bob Ripley, Capitol Administrator, commented, “Jayne and Ed, please add my thanks for this project. This is a HUGE improvement for communications for the potential use of the basement for storm shelter for Capitol occupants and general building security. And our staff gets to use it daily for our routine business….a major step forward to our Office. Again, thanks!”

VICKI MCELROY

In appreciation of her attention to detail when sorting incoming telco invoices and documentation of equipment deliveries. Many telco accounts have to be reviewed by several OCIO staff prior to going to Central Finance. In addition, many deliveries are partial deliveries of our equipment. Vicki can be counted on to find a lost invoice or packing slip. Sandi Gauchat, OCIO WAN Team, commented, “Vicki’s skills need to be trumpeted out. She’s saved the day for me many a time. Just letting you know how much I appreciate Vicki and all she does behind-the-scenes.”

JUSTIN TIANGCO

For providing great customer service to the Nebraska Department of Labor. The agency moved an application to new servers. The application is getting frequent certificate errors when making LDAP calls to Public.ne.gov domain. Justin resolved the issue. Kevin Waechter, Department of Labor, commented “I'm forwarding this to say how much we appreciate Justin's work on this, he resolved the issue yesterday and moreover he also made a follow up call this morning to make sure it is still working right.”

In appreciation for their work on ensuring the correct data was input into the OCIO billing system for the Open Systems Team. They stepped up during a staffing transition period and worked through existing processes and met the billing deadlines. They are also the team that will be reviewing and automating existing processes. Jayne Scofield, IT Administrator for Network Services, commented, BIG THANKS to them for their willingness to do this on really short notice.”
